The symbol of the CROSS WING or FLYING RIVER (depicted in the accompanying photograph) has been designed by ZELOPHEHAD ADAH SAMPSON of The ZAS Household for his origins (CROSS RIVER) referred to by himself as THE ELITIST REPUBLIC OF CROSS RIVER. It comes off as one of the most profound demonstrations of nationalism in recent times. Cross River is located southwards of Cameroun on the Atlantic coast of West Africa.

As a currency, Z. A. Sampson suggests that LOWER DENOMINATIONS be called CROSS WINGS (e.g., 1 Cross Wing, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 Cross Wings, etc.) while higher amounts in single notes be generally referred to as FLYING RIVERS (e.g., 10,000.00 or 50,000.00 Flying Rivers).

The basic idea is that The Elitist Republic of Cross River is an African society with a civilization principally western in outlook and, thus, accommodating to all who are attracted to its tourism and hospitality industries. With CALABAR as its largest socio-political microcosm, Cross River runs itself through periodic elections marked by common understanding driven by an informed political culture.
